Is it legal to bringing duty free goods in Taiwan?
This rebuilt rule page keeps the answer, scope, and future source links in one obvious place, without pretending the row is fully researched before official sources are attached.

Enforcement
How this may be enforced
Taiwan Customs publishes the inbound passenger duty-free allowances and declaration rules.

bring electronics without declaring them
Taiwan Customs requires written declaration at the red channel for items subject to other regulations, including many notebooks, tablets and household electronics when the specified conditions are met. Bringing electronics into Taiwan without declaring them is therefore not a blanket yes.
bring food into a country
Taiwan Customs says almost all meat products made from land animals are not permitted to carry into Taiwan because they do not meet the processing and quarantine criteria. Food imports are therefore heavily restricted by category rather than automatically allowed.
bring medical cannabis into a country
Taiwan allows some prescription and controlled medicines for personal use with documents, but customs also says marijuana, marijuana derivatives over 10 ppm THC, and similar products are prohibited. Taiwan Customs has separately warned that CBD products require Taiwan FDA permitting and unauthorized imports may be referred to judicial authorities.
bring tobacco over the allowance
Taiwan Customs grants tobacco duty exemption only up to the published passenger limits and says larger amounts need an import licence or are not allowed. Tobacco above the allowance therefore does not remain ordinary passenger baggage.
Compare this activity in other countries
This makes the rule page useful for comparison without creating a second data source.
Albania
Albania Customs says travelers entering Albania are exempt from import duties for goods contained in personal luggage when the goods are non-commercial. Duty-free treatment is therefore available within the published passenger limits.
Algeria
Algeria allows traveller relief only for personal effects and limited passenger quantities such as tobacco and alcohol. Duty-free treatment depends on staying within the official traveller allowance and not bringing goods for resale.
Argentina
Argentina allows travelers to bring in goods within the baggage and duty-free allowances set by ARCA customs guidance. The exemption depends on the travel route and the value or quantity limits that apply.
Australia
Australias duty free concessions apply only within the stated limits and going over the limits means duty and tax apply on all goods of that type.

Why the page is intentionally light
The new site should show a stable layout, a stable route, and clear source slots before the dataset is scaled up again. That keeps management simple and makes later official-source population safer.
